Fan-to-Size Fan Selection Software

As a proud member of The New York Blower Company (NYB) family, AirEng benefits from access to NYB’s advanced resources and engineering tools – one of which is the Fan to Size fan selection program.

This powerful digital platform allows users to specify performance requirements and receive precise fan recommendations tailored to their needs. By leveraging Fan-to-Size, AirEng can provide faster, more accurate fan selections while aligning with the industry-leading standards and support of NYB, enhancing both efficiency and customer confidence in every application.

New York Blower’s fan selection program, Fan-to-Size was custom built in-house by NYB’s industry leading IT department with the customer in mind. With no login or account information required, this intuitive software will help you start your next project by easily selecting the fan that best suits your application and installation needs. Fan-to-Size is also offered in two formats, Online and Mobile.

Fan‐to‐Size Online – best for viewing on a computer, the program allows for a more complex selection and connects with other tools.

Fan to Size Mobile – best for viewing on your mobile device or tablet, the program will show a simplified version for quicker selection.

Fan-to-Size’s default view allows for fans to be selected from a list of all NYB products while alternative views allow for fan selections to be made based on applications and categories such as Clean Air, Moisture, Light Dust, Heavy Dust, and Bulk Material Handling. These categories can be broken down further into airfoil, backward curved, single thickness, etc.

Once a specific product, application, category, or fan type is selected, you can input the operating conditions for your application. Fan-to-Size will then provide a list of all available NYB product offerings meeting the selection criteria. In addition to each product offering, Fan-to-Size will outline the corresponding size, drive type, power, speed, and Fan Energy Index (FEI) rating.

Once a fan is selected, the user has the option to view the fan curve, print/send the results, or save the selection for future use and/or send to us for quoting or validation at fans@aireng.com.au. Users also have the option to create a drawing package for the selected fan using Drawings-On-Demand. These drawings can be custom tailored to include flanges, u-base, dampers, as well as the fan’s Installation and Maintenance Manual.
