The inclusion of high volumes of clean dilution air to an odour or moisture-laden emission can solve visual and code issues. Many HVAC designs require that fresh air intakes be located away from any possible contamination. By placing the process exhaust stream away from these intakes and adding dilution air, the design criteria can be achieved. Many locations require that exhaust stream plumes must rise 15 metres or higher than any air supply connections. The dilution air concept works with high temperature or corrosive gas streams when an industrial fan and Venturi conductor is used as the primary air-moving device.
